Top School Sports Facilities For Hire in Surrey

Surrey is renowned for its esteemed selection of schools, as it sits quaintly on the edge of the less family orientated “Big Smoke”.  Whether Surrey parents send their children to these prestigious schools for the good grades or to play football on some quality Astroturf, it’s hard to tell.  If it is the latter, these kids are in luck and so are the remaining Surrey residents who may be in need of some cracking sporting venues.

Jubilee High School

Found in Addlestone, Jubilee High School houses a number of handy sports facilities.  It has a well kempt grass pitch suitable for nine-a-side or eleven-a-side football and rugby.  This can be hired outside of school hours for an hourly fee.  In its sports hall it can fit 5 badminton courts, 2 squash courts, football. Futsal, netball, basketball, volleyball and table tennis (although unfortunately not all at the one time).  After school availability is from 5pm to 9pm on weekdays and 9am to 5pm on weekends.  Email booking@jubilee.surrey.sch.uk to book one of the facilities.

 

Salesian School

Not a million miles from London, in the little town of Chertsey, is the Salesian School.  Now in this school can be found a rather adaptable gym which can become a basketball court, five-aside football or just a general fitness studio.  Separate to this are a further 2 halls and 2 dance/ drama studios suitable for a range of group classes, meetings or general functions.  Moving outdoors, the all-weather, full sized Astro Turf pitch is available as a whole or to be hired in halves.  It is in fantastic condition with clear markings, sturdy goals and floodlights and can be used for football or hockey throughout the year.  Additionally there are four courts which can be utilised for netball or tennis.  The facilities are available 5pm to 9pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays.  Email info@salesian.surrey.sch.uk to book.

 

Cranmore School

A joint in the West Horsley vicinity, Cranmore School has a number of strings on its sporting bow.  First and foremost is the 25 metre swimming pool, fitted with UV filtration and kept at a 30 degree temperature is a smashing place to head for a splash.  It is the chosen baths by a number of swim clubs and dive schools as well as your average Joe Soap.  Land wise, the school boasts an all-weather surface which can be divided into 4 tennis courts.   2 cricket squares grace the ground throughout the year whilst a further 5 nets appear during the summer months.  A number of football and rugby pitches can be found alongside a 9-hole par 3 golf course.  Inside, there is a large sports hall which plays host to five-a-side, 5 indoor cricket nets or a full sized basketball court.  Email mike.mellstrom@cranmoreprep.co.uk to book one your favourite space.  

 

Charterhouse School

The Charterhouse School tops the league with its range of stunning sports facilities.  Most noteworthy is its fully well maintained 400m athletics track made from synthetic rubber.  It is fully equipped to suit Hammer and discuss and long jump.  The school also contains 4 squash courts, 8 basketball courts, 3 synthetic water-based hockey pitches, 6 cricket nets, an indoor climbing wall, a gym, fitness studio and a 25 metre pool.  The grounds are open 8am to dusk every day of the week.  Phone 01483 291 500 to book one of the many sporting facilities on offer.
