East London is home to some of the best sports halls in London, most notably are the halls found in schools and academies because they are so extensively equipped and well looked after.  If you’re looking to find a venue to suit all of your sporting needs, look no further than the many Sports Halls that East London has to offer.

The Petchey Academy, Dalston

The large sports hall offers a football pitch size of 109ft X 95ft4, 3 Badminton courts and a basketball court.  The hall boasts high ceilings, comprehensive floor markings and great natural light alongside indoor lighting.  The venue is clean and well-kempt, with helpful and friendly staff.  Also available for hire is a fantastic floodlit astroturf, dance studios and classrooms for general use. Bethnal Green Academy

The Academy is home to dance and fitness studios, squash courts and a fantastic sports hall complete with viewing seats.  The only downside to this facility is that it is closed on Saturdays and has very limited Sunday availability, but it is open to public bookings between 6pm and 11pm on weekdays and really is worth a visit.  The hall is used extensively by Futsal five-a-side teams, local cricket clubs and the BGA Taekwondo Championships.  It is equipped with cricket nets, hockey goals, badminton nets and basketball hoops.  Email spa@bethnalgreenacademy.co.uk or phone 020 7920 7937 for bookings.

Langdon Academy, East Ham

The main hall is a fantastic, clean and well equipped space, with a high wide roof, perfect for badminton.  The hall is furnished with nets and the floor is extensively marked for multi-genre use.  The centre itself has an array of other sports facilities, many of which have been recently refurbished.  The facility also offer a 3G pitch, 2 full sized grass pitches, 5 badminton courts and 8 tennis courts.  Free car parking and changing facilities are available.  Email info@langdon.newham.sch.uk or phone 0208 471 2411 for bookings.
