Where to Play Sport in Camden

Camden Town is an edgy neighbourhood, its high street laden with ominous punk memorabilia and bustling with tattooed, pierced characters and bewildered tourists.  It has sports facilities to suit its varied inhabitants, with sports centres and pitches covering a hybrid of activities.  Here is just a sampling of some of the great facilities and activities to be found in the cool Camden...

Talacre Community Centre

The Talacre Community Centre can be found on Dalby Street near Kentish Town.  It is a sports hub offering a wide range of sports activities and facilities.  It houses a multi-genre sports hall (suitable for badminton, football, basketball, netball or volleyball), a seven-a-side floodlit astroturf pitch and a newly refurbished dance studio complete with barres, mirrors and surround sound system.  On top of these there is a purpose built gymnasium offering gymnastics in a diverse range of disciplines and classes.  Sessions are provided for pre-schoolers, parents and toddlers and of course general level.  Gymnasts will experience an extensive array of equipment including a full sized sprung floor, trampoline, beams, high bars and a foam pit.  The centre has a children’s play and imagination zone called Treetops, which runs age appropriate sessions throughout the week for children from 3 months to 11 years old.

Camden Rhino Turf

Camden Rhino Turf pitches are in pristine condition, with 3G astroturf, floodlights and well maintained goals and nets.  It can oversee a single nine-a-side game or, using the dividing net, be split into 2 five-a-side pitches.  They have on site changing facilities and showers .  The pitch is a mere 7 minute walk from Camden Town Station and costs £75 for the hour, making it a practical pitch for an affordable price.  Right next to the hustle and bustle of the community, there are plenty of pubs nearby to grab a post match pint.

Camden Town Sports Pitch

It can be divided into 2 pitches of five-a-side football, 4 netball courts, 4 tennis courts or can be rented as a whole for a single game.
